Enjoy a 3-hour introduction to painting or sculpting, all materials included, no prior knowledge or experience is required. Your professors are both alumni of The Florence Academy of Art and it is the academic training from life in the traditional methods and techniques combined with their over 30 years of experience which has provided a solid foundation for the development of their works and for their teaching. Immerse yourself in ideas and see your world in new ways through art. In this experience you will learn directly from artists, look closely at works. This experience offers an in-depth, hands-on look at the materials, techniques, and approaches. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of artists’ practices, you’ll also explore some of their diverse approaches to pressing issues and questions of our time. You’ll gain confidence to look at contemporary art wherever you encounter it and make connections to your own life or creative practice.
Life in Florence, Italy provides constant inspiration through the people, the architecture, the art and the history and also allows for interaction with other artists and artisans who value the traditional approaches to their craft.
