Rome is an excellent place to find the most prized goods from around the country, but most of all haute couture, splendid antique furniture, fine art or the work of the Eternal City’s gifted artisans.

The shopping streets are famous and among all Via Condotti is the most beloved shopping street, beginning at the base of the Spanish Steps. In the nearby, there are: Via Frattina, slightly less famous sibling to Via Condotti, as opulent boutiques are clustered thickly along these more pedestrian-friendly sections; Via Sistina that runs to Piazza Barberini, with small and exquisitely stylish shops; Via del Babuino, near the haute couture shops around the Spanish Steps, is renowned for its antiques, particularly antique furniture and paintings.  Another famous exclusive shoppint street is Via Vittorio Veneto, immortalised in Fellini’s ‘La Dolce Vita’, is lined with luxurious hotels and elegant cafés and boutiques selling shoes, gloves, and leather goods. Another famous street is Via Borgognona, that begins near Piazza di Spagna, and is renowned for its ultra-chic designer boutiques tucked away behind impressive baroque and neoclassical facades. Once your are near Piazza Venezia you can walk on Via del Corso, home to the Ferrari flagship store and the Swarovski Crystal flagship stores, the shops on Via del Corso offers a variety of choices, from modern fashion to finely wrought leather crafts and home furnishings ranging from modern to vintage to 50s retro in style. Near the Vatican, from Piazza Risorgimento to the banks of the Tiber you are on Via Cola di Rienzi. Its popularity is due to the  fashionable jewelry and  shoes on offer here. While Via Nazionale embodies the Roman synthesis of old and new with stores specialised in hand-tooled leather goods and a few boutiques.
